Carfentanil has been confirmed in the drug supply on Vancouver Island. It is similar to fentanyl but can be 100 times more toxic. Reduce risk by:
• Never using alone
• Starting small
• Carrying naloxone
• Being close to help

The Vancouver Island Conference Centre created the first ever KIDS Conference in Nanaimo, BC so that parents and children in our community would be able to discover and learn about resources around the community. The KIDS Conference is focused on bridging the gap between all economic backgrounds, and promoting a future for all children. Featuring entertainment, speakers, vendors and more. Best of all, admission is free!
The goal of The KIDS Conference is to promote knowledge + inclusion + discovery + support for parents and children 12 and under.

Walk With Your Doc - Gabriola Island, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville

Take the opportunity to "Walk with your Doc" every second Saturday of the month at Maffeo Sutton Park. The group meets at 10:00 am under the spirit tent.
On the fourth Saturday of every month "Walk and Talk With Your Doc" at Bowen Complex on the 2nd floor at 10:00 am where there will be a 10 minute health discussion followed by a walk in that park.
