Living In Families With Teens (LIFT)

LIFT is a free and voluntary counselling program to help parents navigate their relationship with their teens.   Raising teens is challenging and most parents experience more conflict with their teen.   The LIFT program's primary efforts are to support parents in navigating the teen age years.

Our LIFT team provides an opportunity for parents to explore family relationships, recognize strengths, understand teen behaviours, build confidence in parenting, strategize ways of managing conflict, reduce tension in family relationships and build family connections.

Our approach is grounded in a family systems model - which looks at the interaction patterns between family members. Our goal is to support parents to “think through’ how they would like to handle parenting challenges, lessen family tension and support secure attachment with their teen.
