Adult Day Programs - Nanaimo Travellers Lodge
NTL offers compassionate person-centered dementia care for 90 full time residents and offers three Adult Day Programs to Elders with Alzheimer's and dementia living in the community: Daybreak, Stepping Stones and Community Bathing. NTL has been serving the Mid-Island community for over 30 years and in 2004 became a facility dedicated for people with complex dementia.more info

Advance care planning allows you to have a say in the health care you will receive if you are too sick to speak for yourself. It is a way to reflect on your values, beliefs and wishes so that you can make your own health care decisions. By discussing and documenting your wishes with your loved ones, health care team and family physician, they will be better able to act on your behalf. more info

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and rehab support for adults with complex recovery needs ranging from chemical dependency or serious mental illness or co-occuring disorders AND significant impairment in functioning. ACT serves clients with serious mental illnesses that are complex and who have very significant functional impairments. ACT services are delivered by a group of mental health staff from a variety of disciplines, who work as a team and provide the majority of treatment services. ACT services are individually tailored to the needs of each client. ACT teams are mobile and deliver services in the community.more info

Cedar Woman House
Cedar Woman House is a 24/7 staffed transition house for women and children who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing violence. Cedar Woman House is designed around Indigenous values, cultural priorities, and programming. Cedar Woman’s House serves the immediate need for emergency shelter and services for all women and children, but are especially dedicated to serving the Nine Member Nations of K'wumut Lelum Child & Family Services.
Resident selection is on a first come, first served bases, given that individuals meet our criteria for entry. Please call for more information.
