AVI Health and Community Services - Nanaimo operates a low barrier Health Centre that provides HIV Primary Care, PrEP prescribing and follow-up, PEP access support, STBBI testing and treatment, Opiate Agonist Treatment (OAT) and addictions services, HCV treatment, and Counselling; as well as a Positive Wellness Program that provides case management and community outreach for HIV and HCV positive clients, a Men’s Wellness Program and Testing Nights that provide social programming and STBBI/PrEP services for self-identified MSM, a clinical Outreach Team supporting clients contemplating or accessing addictions services, and an Education Program that works with people who use drugs, MSM, clinic clients, schools, other organizations, services providers, and all people at risk of HIV, HCV, and/or toxic drug poisoning/overdose to support HIV, HCV, and addictions & sexual health harm reduction education.more info
